COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this workshop you will learn to paint the figure from life “alla prima” with a focus on color mixing and painting flesh tones. Through a series of figure painting exercises, you will be introduced a structured palette often referred to as the Zorn Palette. We will also discuss materials and methods for sketching the figure on the canvas and wet-in- wet tiling techniques. Each day will begin with a demo by the artist and you will work from a new model and pose, practicing the methods introduced each day in the workshop.
