Kamille Corry: Figure Painting

by Matthew Innis |

This ten day workshop will focus on painting the nude figure from life.   Starting with limited palette, and working up to a more extended color palette, students will be developing their painting by focusing on strong draftsmanship, building form with correct values, and honing their skills with naturalistic color application. Drawing, color sketching, anatomical principles, and composition will be discussed as we progress with our figure painting. Students will have the full ten days to complete one painting.   One day will be dedicated to the structure of the hands, with methods that will allow students to more fully understand rendering one of the most difficult components of the human figure.   Kamille will be painting alongside the students and giving individual critiques daily.
