2012 BP Portrait Prize Shortlist

London’s National Portrait Gallery recently announced the paintings shortlisted for the 2012 BP Portrait Competition top prize.  From a field of 2,187 entries from 74 countries, judges narrowed the applicants down to 55 works destined for the prestigious exhibition, and the 4 contenders vying for the £25,000 first prize and its accompanying £4000 portrait commission….
