Bouguereau Paints en Plein Air

William Adolphe Bouguereau, known for his wonderful draftsmanship and paint handling when portraying a studio model, was not immune to the lure of painting en plein air.  Though his finished paintings tend not to show the effects of natural outdoor lighting, it is obvious that he was capable of producing wonderful landscape studies from life….
