Women Painting Women: In Earnest

by Matthew Innis |

The J. Wayne Stark Galleries at the Memorial Student Center at Texas A&M University welcomes Women Painting Women: In Earnest, an exhibition that shares the distinct vision of 30 female artists from throughout the country who explore the complexity of being a woman today while honoring the human spirit. Instead of voyeuristic depictions of the female form, these contemporary artists created art reflecting personal narratives that involve the struggles and resilience of woman in today’s society. The exhibition, curated by Alia El-Bermani and Diane Feissel, runs October 18 through December 16, 2017, and it will be co-sponsored by the Wright Gallery at the College of Architecture.

Where: J. Wayne Stark Galleries, College Station, (TX)

When: October 19, 2017 - December 16, 2017
