STAN PROKOPENKO

Figure Drawing from Life (gesture, structure, and shading)

Date: April 6 – 8, 2017

Cost: $350 (excluding model fee)

Skill Level: All levels

Description

Students will learn the fundamental concepts for drawing the human body. On the first day, we’ll capture the motion of the pose with quick gesture drawings. On the second day, we’ll add structure to the body to make it feel 3 dimensional and solid. On the final day, we’ll do a longer drawing combining gesture, structure and tone to create a finished shaded figure drawing. Students will be drawing from a live model.

“Your figure course is the best ever instruction on drawing true figurative likeness ever made. It is so inspiring to see.” – Sky David

“I think you have an amazing talent, not only as an artist, but as a teacher. I am extremely grateful for your lessons.” – Ryan Heitman
