2010 Portrait Society Face-Off

On the opening night, 15 artists painted simultaneously, three each to a model.  These were the pieces after approximately 2 1/2 hours. The paintings go to auction, and the artist with the most popular piece gave a painting demonstration on Saturday morning.

    fascinating to see everyone re-interpret a face from their angle, emotional state or ethnic extraction.

    Interesting that a lot of these talented painters struggle with an alla prima approach.
