The Danish painter Peder Mørk Mønsted (1859-1941) is a particular favorite of mine.  As a lover of representational art, I consider Mønsted’s landscapes to be among the best.  His compositions, sense of tone, keen observation of naturalistic color, and his ability to dexterously imply detail with a minimum of brushwork, are all superb.  Looking upon his paintings…
