Anders Zorn

by Matthew Innis |

His work is like one long declaration of love for the Swedish landscape, which he depicts as a backdrop to scenes from everyday life. Anders Zorn (1860-1920), an icon in his home country, has been largely overlooked in the rest of Europe. Later this year, Kunstmuseum Den Haag will change all that with an extraordinary retrospective organised in collaboration with the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
