10-Day Textural Still Life in Oils | October 10-14, 17-21 | $1485 USD | Florence, Italy

This is the same course material as the 6-Day Textural Still Life workshop above, but expanded to span two weeks to allow students plenty of time to complete their project and revel in the cultural surroundings.  The workshop will be hosted by artists Laura Thompson and Frank Rekrut of The Florence Studio, located not far from the Ponte Vecchio.

Price includes excursions and activities throughout Florence, most materials, discounts on accommodations, and a visit to the Palazzo Pitti.

Painting Textures With Guest Instructor Katherine Stone   
10-21 October 2016 Instruction 10 am-3pm with 1 hr lunch break

Learn the secrets of creating realist textural effects including wood grain, glass, reflections, fabric, metal and peeling paint with guest instructor and award winning artist Katherine Stone. With a four-step process, Kate will demonstrate and teach how to approach complex textures and materials that will add interest and dimension to your still life paintings.

Katherine Stoneis recognized internationally for her meticulous still-life paintings and her figurative and portrait works. Born in Maine to Canadian parents she now lives in British Columbia with her husband, artist David Gluck, their German Shepherd and seven chickens.
