Charles will be joining us at the WAA to lead a workshop in oil painting. He will discuss the ‘keying’ of paintings and the relativity of these things. The process of oil painting itself along with the principles of building up a painting will be the focus of the five days. We will be engaged in both still life and portrait painting where students will be encouraged to use their paintings as a place to expand their vocabulary and challenge perceptions whilst not being tied to a direct route to a finished product.

The set up will be sight size and models will be used for half of the day.
